Competencies & e-portfolio

An e-portfolio recognises that learning is continuing, seeks to provide tools to support that learning, and also recognises the role of the individual in organising their own learning. It is a new idea in the fast developing field of Technology Enhanced Learning, and it has have been widely used in North American and UK universities for some time, it is only now that they are permeating into wider sectors of education and training including work based learning and the compulsory school sector. At the same time there is increased interest and take up in European Countries. The reason behind e-portfolio is that the different pace and forms of development may reflect different social and economic systems, differences in the history of education, different relations between labour markets and education systems and different cultural and pedagogic approaches to education and learning.
When it comes to my personal e-portfolio for my home-back university, it is about comparison and contrast in terms of educational, cultural, social, ethical, religious and personal competencies. I will have sufficient input for each major idea so as to make it clear and  more informative.
